Negroamaro is Apulia's other great grape — less sun-baked than Primitivo, more sinewy. This one comes from Produttori di Manduria.
In the glass — Dark ruby. Intense red berries — redcurrant and blackcurrant — over a spiced base. Well balanced, with supple tannins and serious persistence.
At the table — Tagliatelle with mushrooms, herb-roasted lamb, hard cheeses.
Serving — 16–18°C. 12.5% vol. 75cl.
