Conati - Amarone Classico della Valpolicella

(0 review)
Amarone is one of the oldest Italian wines.
It is a wine rich in alcohol, which cannot be compared to any other in the world, even in terms of longevity.
Ruby red in colour, with an intense aroma and velvetiness on the palate, it goes well with red meats and aged cheeses. Served outside of the meal, it is an extraordinary wine of meditation.

CÉPAGE - Corvina, Corvinone 60%, Rondinella 30%, Croatina-Sangiovese 10%
TERRAIN - Clay-limestone of moraine origin (morenica).
HARVEST - End of September, by hand, in small boxes.
APPASSIMENTO - Traditional, on fans for 100-120 days.
VINIFICATION - Strictly traditional, classic blending, destemming, fermentation in cement vats for about 60 days, without temperature control, ironing of the must on the lees, alternating delestage during the main part of the sugar/alcohol transformation.
MATURING - Ageing takes place in Slovenian oak barrels for 12-14 months.
COLOUR - Ruby red with purplish reflections, intense and persistent.
FRAGRANCES - Aromas of red fruits, cherry jam, forest fruits, combined with spices such as cocoa, cinnamon and black pepper.
FLAVOUR - The complexity of the nose is confirmed in the mouth, with velvetiness and sweetness. Very persistent retro olfaction, classic for a great Amarone.
SERVING TEMPERATURE - 16 to 18°C.
ALCOHOL CONTENT - 16%
WINE PAIRING - Ideal for important dishes based on red meat, aged cheeses or, better yet, for pleasure.
