Tèmeso - Calabrese (Nero d’Avola) 70%, Magliocco 30% IGP
Calabrese is the Sicilian name for Nero d'Avola — one grape, two labels. Pacelli blends it with local Magliocco for the most ambitious wine in the house range.
Harvested mid-September, fermented in steel vats, then aged eight months in oak barrels.
In the glass — Intense red with garnet highlights, bright. An explosion of wild berries on the nose — blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry — with hints of clove and pepper. The palate is full and enveloping, supple in texture, with resolved tannins and a pleasantly spicy finish.
At the table — Pasta dishes, grilled meats, small game, aged and spicy cheeses.
Serving — 18°C. 14% vol. 75 cl.
