Madrigale Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale
A naturally sweet wine, and a rare appellation: Primitivo di Manduria Dolce Naturale is one of the few sweet-wine DOCGs in southern Italy. The grapes come from eighty-year-old vines, 5,000 plants per hectare, bush-trained.
Harvest in the second half of September, temperature-controlled fermentation, refined in bottle.
In the glass — Intense red with violet reflections. Nose of morello cherry and red fruit preserve, with dried fruit and cocoa on the finish. Sweet, warm and unctuous on the palate, with fine persistence.
At the table — Pastries, desserts, blue cheeses. The classic: gorgonzola.
Serving — 10 to 14 °C. 15.5% vol. 75 cl.
