Bel Monte - Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Rosso DOC
According to legend, Lacryma Christi wine owes its name to the tears that Jesus shed over Mount Vesuvius when Lucifer stole a piece of paradise to shape the Gulf of Naples. His tears descended on the lands of Vesuvius and allowed the formation of the vines that still cover the volcano.
GRAPE VARIETY – Piedirosso 80%, Sciascinoso and Aglianico 20%
CHARACTERISTICS - 90 quintals per hectare.
COLOUR - Brilliant ruby red.
FRAGRANCES - Notes of berries accompanied by a pleasant spicy side and hints of violet.
FLAVOUR - Well structured and balanced, sweet, persistent, with a pleasant aftertaste.
SERVING TEMPERATURE - 18°C.
ALCOHOL CONTENT - 13%
FOOD PAIRING - Pasta or polenta with meat sauces, roasted red meats, noble poultry, game, spicy cheeses, without excluding the possibility of pairing them with Neapolitan lasagna.
